After the other day in a parking lot, a sister came up to me and acted lovey dovey and the first words were why aren't you at the meetings and why are you avoiding my questions and was screaming before I left. in a snowstorm in pa on a highway, i ran out of gas.. this was one of many mistakes for the evening.

We were horseback riding far into the Mexican mountains in blazeing hot humid weather. I was thirsty and so we stopped at a little rustic hut and bought a coco loco beverage. It was a coconut filled with rum or vodka. I drank the whole thing. Was a little tipsy so hubby cupped his hands and I put my foot in and he lifted me up over the horse. Literally, I went over my horse, missed the saddle and onto the ground flat on my nose. Thank god the alchohol numbed the pain somewhat. I thought I was dead. Both the horse and hubby stood there just stareing along with the rest of the locals that were there.

I agree with Tikil. A young brother had not looked at the board to see he had a talk that evening and when he was announced to go up he was clueless. That was the same evening an announcement was made that he was made an MS.

Went parasailing, hot air ballooning, sharkfishing and smoked a bag of weed in Mexico (long time ago). Bungie jumped in Ontario. Helicopter ride. Horseback riding in the mountains of Mexico. Got drunk and had a personal tour in Elizabeth Taylors home in Mexico. Got drunk and went catching crabs on the beach of Mexico, that was the only way you could catch the little critters for they zig zag when running after them and we zigged zagged too!

Has leaving the truth( i hate that word) caused you to do things now that you would not have normally done ?

but would you say that leaving has maybe caused you to do some things that you would not have normally have done in life ?
for me personally now i have lots of free time ( mine all mine, evil laugh) i have almost finished my first novel.

Sold a business and put the boat away when we started to pioneer. Now that we're out for good, put up a smaller building on the property and started up a business again and the boat is coming out. Built another building for our hobby as well. Just staying busy looking for more doors to open that will lead us to a balanced "normal" lifestyle. GUILTFREE!!!!!!!!!!

why do rank and file have to pay for co's do's expenses, car, health insurance, meals, etc, etc...?.
didn't the apostle paul say that all christians have to be self sufficient and work?, not depending on anyone else and cause a burden?.

And yet in pioneer school the CO specifically said do not be a burden to the congregation and to pull your own load. Next sentence was but if someone wants to help you and pay for a tank of gas or give you money then that's ok too.

Ummm, just a question guys, some of the mennonite women actually have full beards. I wonder if you saw that in the congregations, what the elders would say to that especially if a man can't have a beard but a woman can. We know what the gossipy slanderous sisters would say about it. Maybe that's why the mennonite men keep their beards so their wives can.

An elder said how will Jehovah and Jesus know your hours if you don't hand in a time report. It wouldn't surprise me with the toilet paper because the last time we met up with missionaries from Africa they said that before you go to use the washroom there's a brother and sister sitting handing out only two squares of toilet paper to each person. One for pee and one for poo. I laughed and said your joking and they said no. But their bethel home has no rations when it comes to their people. I guess you would have to drip dry on the one and use the two for the other hoping you don't get the hershy squirts.

Unbelievable Assertion!!!!!!!
by The Searcher inwe had our special assembly day this weekend.. what the district overseer stated in his talk totally stunned me, and made me feel sick to my stomach.
he said, "christ is directing us through the governing body, and we cannot get holy spirit except through them!".
i do not wish to reveal all my thoughts on his statement, but i pray to god that it acts as a wake-up call to at least some of the audience.. suffice to say that the gb is now the mediator to our mediator, and from now on, i will have to pray for holy spirit through the name of the gb!!.

Gopher, we were only in it for nine years, approx., and I remember Ken Little from bethel saying at an assembly that everytime we open up our bibles. we recieve holy spirit. That was about six or seven years ago. I wonder what he must be thinking. I also remember not long ago a DO Mcfadden stateing we must be obedient to the fds in order to recieve salvation. I wonder what he's thinking now.
